Emotional Freedom Technique

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), often called “tapping,” is a complementary therapy that combines elements of psychology with gentle physical stimulation to support emotional well-being. It involves using the fingertips to tap on specific points on the body, typically on the face and upper body, which are based on acupuncture meridian points. While tapping, individuals focus on a particular issue, such as stress, anxiety, or a difficult memory, and repeat affirming statements. The aim is to reduce emotional intensity and help the body process and release negative feelings. EFT is based on the idea that emotional distress is linked to disruptions in the body’s energy system, and that tapping can help restore balance. It is commonly used for managing stress, fears, and limiting beliefs, and can be practiced independently once learned. While scientific evidence is mixed, many people find EFT a helpful and accessible tool for emotional regulation and personal development.
