Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy covers our online bespoke fragrance services—Your Fragrant Journey and Signature Scent Creation—and The Scent Library course.

Online bespoke fragrance orders

Your Fragrant Journey and Signature Scent Creation are completed through online forms and personal communication. No in-person attendance is required.

If you wish to cancel, please contact us in writing as soon as possible:

- Before personalised work begins: Your payment will be refunded.
- After fragrance design or blending begins: Any refund will take account of work already completed and materials committed specifically to your order, where permitted by law.
- Once your personalised fragrance has been created: Change-of-mind returns are generally not accepted, as the fragrance is made specifically for you.

Submitting a form does not, by itself, mean that blending has begun. Any included fragrance adjustments and follow-up support will be explained before purchase.

These terms do not affect your rights if a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or does not meet the agreed description.

The Scent Library course

- Cancellations received at least seven calendar days before the course starts qualify for a refund of tuition fees.
- For later cancellations, a reasonable cancellation charge may apply, considering preparation undertaken, notice given and whether your place can be filled.
- Before the course begins, you may request a transfer to another available date or nominate a suitable replacement participant.
- Missing a scheduled session does not automatically qualify for a refund or an individual replacement lesson. Available catch-up arrangements will be explained before booking.
- If you withdraw after the course begins, any refund will consider teaching already delivered, materials supplied and reasonable cancellation charges permitted by law.

Course scent kits

Kit and tuition values will be disclosed separately before purchase. If you cancel after receiving your kit, you may retain it at the disclosed price or request a return where eligible.

Opened or used scent materials are generally not eligible for change-of-mind refunds. Your rights regarding defective, damaged or incorrect goods remain unaffected.

If we cannot deliver

If we cannot fulfil your bespoke order, we will refund the undelivered portion. If we cancel the course, you may choose an alternative available date or a refund of the cancelled tuition. Any kit already supplied will be addressed separately.

Exceptional circumstances

No course cancellation charge will apply where the booked participant cannot attend because of death or hospitalisation, as provided by applicable law.

Requests and refunds

Please send cancellation requests in writing using the contact details in your order or booking confirmation. Approved refunds will be processed within 14 calendar days, normally to the original payment method.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under South African consumer law, including any applicable cooling-off rights.
