Body Stress Release (BSR) is a gentle, non-invasive technique developed in South Africa that focuses on helping the body release stored tension and stress. It is based on the idea that physical, emotional, and chemical stress can accumulate in the body over time, becoming locked into muscles and the nervous system. This stored stress may contribute to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. During a session, a trained practitioner uses light, targeted pressure along the spine and other areas while the client lies fully clothed. These precise movements are designed to stimulate the body’s natural reflexes, encouraging it to release tension in a controlled and gentle way. Rather than forcing change, BSR works with the body’s own healing ability. It is commonly used to support conditions such as back pain, headaches, and general discomfort, aiming to restore balance, improve movement, and enhance overall well-being.
